Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems, with their approved fabricator Anglia Fixing Ltd, supplied Comar 1 and Comar 3 ground floor framing, Comar 2 window walling and Comar 7 doors for a contemporary new build Church Hall, forming part of the Kingsland Church facilities in Lexden, Colchester.
The main project criteria for the hall required that the building complied with sound insulation, privacy planning requirements and adhered to strict budget restraints.
External entrances were Comar 7 commercial rebated doors, fitted with Axim surface mounted overhead door closers with a 90° hold open facility and maximum security hook locks. The fire exit door was fitted with Axim panic exit device and hook locks, but without any external furniture. Lobby doors incorporated double action pivots and featured anti finger-trap stiles. All doors were internally beaded with double glazed units and fitted with toughened safety glass.
Both the windows and doors were finished in Grey RAL 7016 matt polyester powder coating.
All Comar approved fabricators are required to have the technical expertise to attend pre-site meetings and provide detailing. Anglia Fixing Ltd liaised closely with the specifiers to provide design advice and detailing which ensured the project ran smoothly and met site deadlines.
